Spring 2016 SB_Waco: Day 4

Today started off with reflection about our Living on the Other Side,(LOTOS) experiences in the slum-like setup. We were pretty hungry from eating only rabbit, lentils, and rice that we worked hard to get the day before. This morning we were pleasantly surprised by a normal breakfast and our debriefing. We then enjoyed a little freedom in the big ole town of Waco. The trip involved the local dog shelter, Magnolia’s, the “famous” George’s Restaurant, and Common Grounds( a killer coffee shop near Baylor). We appreciated our freedom and snacks all afternoon as we relaxed and listened to music in the sunshine on the coffee shop patio.
